Legislative
The RIAGC Legislative Committee monitors
legislative proposals that come before the Rhode Island
General Assembly that might affect the building construction
industry. Appropriate action is taken to support or defeat
certain proposals. Rhode Island was
the first state to require the OSHA 10 Hour training for all
on site craftsworkers on public projects in excess of $
100,000.00. Irresponsible employers are not eligible to
successfully bid and complete public work.
